PASSION & REGIONALITY
We produce our KNUT HANSEN DRY GIN in our family-run still in the heart of Hamburg. Each bottle is filled by hand with great attention to detail in order to finally give you an unforgettable moment with a good glass of gin.
THE HEART OF OUR MANUFACTURING
We produce KNUT HANSEN on our copper 150l still from Arnold Holstein. Here we process the fine juniper as well as the fresh cucumber, basil and the fruity apples from the Altes Land to distill our KNUT HANSEN DRY GIN. In a complex process, our gin is distilled four times in small batches with an extremely slow supply of energy and filled into its unmistakable ceramic bottle with a lot of love and craftsmanship.
EXPERIENCE THE DISTILLERY
In our open manufactory you can experience first hand how our KNUT HANSEN Dry Gin is made. On an area of 1,100 square meters, with a ceiling height of 11 meters, with 40 steel girders and 2,500 tiles, or in short: In the Hamburg Distilling Company in Hamburg Hamm near the main train station in our modern warehouse, which we have become Northern Germany’s largest manufacturer for Have converted premium spirits.
BEST INGREDIENTS FROM THE REGION
We track exactly from which cultivation the individual ingredients in our gin production come. We also attach great importance to using botanicals from our fine northern Germany. For example, the apples come from the Altes Land south of the Elbe, the basil and cucumbers are taken from the family’s own greenhouse and the rose blossoms come from the Baltic Sea dike.
